JEE Advance Results 2014 Expected to be Declared on June 19

The results for the Joint Entrance Examination-Main for 2014 were announced recently. The JEE Main are the first in out of two exams conducted for admission into various courses like B.Tech., B.Arch. and B.Planning. The JEE Main and Advanced, being the two examinations held, are taken into consideration to take in students into several premier institutions for the above mentioned courses. The results for JEE Advanced will be announced on 19th June 2014. After the declaration of the Advanced results, the counselling sessions for various institutes will begin. The date set for the beginning of counselling is July 1. More than 1,50,000 students had qualified for the JEE advanced exam, which was held on the May 25, 2014. There are a total of 44 boards in India. If the result of any of the board is not declared by June 18, then the top 20 percentile at par with CBSE will be taken into consideration for the selection of the students in IIT. The maximum number of marks in the JEE (Main) 2014 was 360, of which 120 were for each subject. In the JEE (Main) 2014, the cut-off for JEE (advanced) 2014, for the general category is 115 (31.94%), for the SC category, 74 (20.55 %), for the ST category, 53 (14.72%) and 47 (13.05%) for the OBC category.
